Tidy Engines

Identity & illustration
Motion & interactive storytelling
Website design & development

An AI services website that makes the division of work visible: agents prepare, people direct, judge and refine.

Tidy Engines homepage: Less busywork. More human work. Lavender serif type on warm paper, beside a woven robot and a human reviewer.
A little preparation. A very human final call.01 / Homepage identity

02 / Interactive storytelling

Three routes.
One connected team.

Choose a route to see who carries the work. The other paths recede, keeping the handoff in focus. Then pull back: the same workflow stays in view as its neighbours appear.

Select a route, then reveal the network. Replay and motion controls are inside the demo.
Read the workflow description

Human judgment: Start → person → end. A person handles work that depends on judgment or relationships.

Human direction: Start → person → agent → end. A person sets the brief and boundaries; the agent carries out the agreed work.

Human taste: Start → agent → person → end. An agent prepares the first pass; a person reviews and refines it.

The network reveal: The view pulls back to show more connected teams. A dotted “Where we started” frame identifies the original three routes.

A draft arrives at the reviewer. Rough marks become a star as the hands move, then the finished document continues.

Original handoff detail, enlarged. Plays once; replay to watch again.

03 / The human checkpoint

The last touch
belongs to a person.

The document pauses beneath the reviewer’s hands. Rough marks resolve into a star, with a small movement of the hands marking the change. Human refinement becomes a visible event in the workflow.

04 / Illustration system

A softer face
for systems work.

Woven surfaces make the robots feel tactile. Hair, glasses and clothing give people individual presence. Fine lavender, sage and terracotta lines connect them without overpowering the characters.

Enlarged lavender fabric robot, a human with round glasses and a dark jacket, and a curly-haired reviewer in amber glasses and a terracotta overshirt.
Fabric, faces and a shared paletteThe agent has a woven surface; the people have distinct silhouettes and personal styling.
An agent prepares a document, a person reviews it, and fine connectors link them to existing tools.
Build / A working connectionThe service illustration places human review between preparation and the tools that receive the work.
A person examines a workflow map with a magnified waiting handoff.
Audit / Look at the handoffA magnified detail makes the service’s purpose concrete: find where the work waits.

05 / Across screen sizes

The same story.
A different route down.

Desktop paths run across the page. Mobile rebuilds them as three vertical branches. Motion can be paused; reduced-motion preferences open a complete, still network, with every route available as a static view.

Desktop workflow with three horizontal routes: human judgment above, human direction in the centre, human refinement below.

Mobile workflow with three vertical branches from a common start to a common end; people and agents retain their roles.
